About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Owning Quality Across the Programme: Take end-to-end ownership of testing and quality across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring consistent standards and coverage at every stage of delivery.
- Driving Test Strategy and Planning: Define and lead test planning efforts across the team, establishing frameworks, approaches, and coverage models that scale across projects and squads.
- Setting and Upholding Quality Standards: Champion quality engineering best practices across the organisation, influencing how teams approach testing at every level — from unit to end-to-end.
- Designing and Implementing Automated Testing Frameworks: Architect and deliver automated testing solutions that optimise quality engineering efforts across the team and reduce manual overhead.
- Leading Functional and Non-Functional Testing: Oversee functional, usability, performance, and load testing across web and mobile components, ensuring release readiness across all projects.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into robust test strategies, particularly for supply chain automation and warehouse management systems.
- Contributing to Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Lead the creation and maintenance of test documentation, troubleshooting guides, workflows, and integration documentation to support team efficiency and onboarding.
- Staying Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep the team informed on emerging technologies and testing methodologies relevant to supply chain, eCommerce fulfilment, and warehouse automation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of proven experience testing complex, large-scale applications — ideally across multiple concurrent projects or programmes.
- Demonstrated experience owning quality engineering across a team or squad, including defining test strategy, setting standards, and driving adoption of best practices.
- Strong knowledge of design, architecture, and testing of cloud-native, microservices-based supply chain fulfilment platforms, including WMS systems such as Manhattan Active and Manhattan WMOS.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end data flow and functional integration touchpoints across eCommerce order fulfilment processes — including task creation, pick, pack, ship, MHE automation, BI reporting, and machine learning functionalities.
- Extensive experience with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with the ability to evaluate and evolve them at an organisational level.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and scaling test automation frameworks.
- Solid experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, and guiding others in doing the same.
- Strong SQL skills and experience scripting against Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments, including contributing to spec and design reviews.
- Experience working in a global, distributed team model.
