About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and execute the technical strategy for the Storefront pillar
Own the full customer-facing storefront experience
Drive the modernization of the core storefront platform
Champion the integration of modern AI and Machine Learning capabilities
Accountable for performance, quality, accessibility, and user experience of the storefront
Drive the evolution of the Aspire Design System
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data Science to leverage A/B testing frameworks
Ensure storefront pages are technically optimized for SEO
Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering organization
Operate as a key technical leader within the broader engineering organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and engineering leadership
At least 7 years dedicated to e-commerce or high-scale consumer applications
Significant time leading leaders (managing managers)
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field strongly preferred
Extensive hands-on experience and architectural leadership in modern frontend technologies: React, TypeScript, Node.js, ES6, modern CSS/tooling, and SSR
Demonstrated experience architecting Micro-Frontend systems and design systems at scale
Deep understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and service orchestration patterns
Experience designing and operating highly distributed Microservices architectures
Proven experience building, deploying, and optimizing both iOS and Android native or hybrid applications
Experience leading initiatives involving AI/ML, Vector Databases, and Recommendation Engines is strongly preferred
High proficiency with product analytics platforms and strong SQL ability
Experience owning production reliability for consumer-facing properties
