About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client mental health, emotional well-being, and social functioning.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients to address their specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct behavioral support, evidence-based interventions, and life skill development to support clients with achieving their goals.
  • Provide psychoeducation on mental health and substance use topics, such as symptom management, relapse prevention, and developing healthy coping skills.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental and emotional well-being, including providing transportation and/or accompanying clients to access community resources and support services.
  • Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and other stakeholders on implementing behavior management strategies and techniques, promoting understanding and collaboration.
  • Engage clients in risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Following established protocols and procedures for de-escalation and intervention, provide support, guidance, and the development of coping strategies for managing crisis situations.
  • Participate in supervision to review cases, receive guidance, and collaborate on therapeutic interventions to assist in providing evidence-based, culturally responsive client services.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, professional codes of conduct, and legal regulations governing clinical practice.
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust plans as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Direct experience in a Behavioral Health or Social Services setting such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, and/or related community-based organizations.
  • One (1) year of direct experience in a Behavioral Health or Social Services setting such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, and/or related community-based organizations, preferred.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of database and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
