About the role
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client mental health, emotional well-being, and social functioning.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients to address their specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct behavioral support, evidence-based interventions, and life skill development to support clients with achieving their goals.
- Provide psychoeducation on mental health and substance use topics, such as symptom management, relapse prevention, and developing healthy coping skills.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental and emotional well-being, including providing transportation and/or accompanying clients to access community resources and support services.
- Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and other stakeholders on implementing behavior management strategies and techniques, promoting understanding and collaboration.
- Engage clients in risk assessment and safety planning.
- Following established protocols and procedures for de-escalation and intervention, provide support, guidance, and the development of coping strategies for managing crisis situations.
- Participate in supervision to review cases, receive guidance, and collaborate on therapeutic interventions to assist in providing evidence-based, culturally responsive client services.
- Adhere to ethical standards, professional codes of conduct, and legal regulations governing clinical practice.
- Address ethical dilemmas and boundary issues that may arise in clinical work.
- To ensure that interventions are effective, and goals are being met, monitor and document client progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency timelines, policies, and confidentiality standards.
- Ensure documents meet Medi-Cal and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate team meetings and collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care for clients.
- Participate in professional networking and collaboration with other contractual and/or community organizations to enhance clinical services and available resources for clients.
- Participate in professional development activities and training to remain informed about Evidence Based Practices and to support high-quality innovative client services.

Requirements
- Social Worker I: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- One (1) year of direct experience in a Behavioral Health or Social Services setting such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, and/or related community-based organizations, preferred.
- Social Worker II (MHRS): Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred and four (4) years full-time equivalent experience in a Behavioral Health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
- Social Worker III: Master's degree in social work, Psychology or related field required. In process and/or proof of active intern registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Associate Marriage Family Therapist.
- Direct experience in a Behavioral Health or Social Services setting such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, and/or related community-based organizations.
- Social Worker IV (Licensed): Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology related field required. Current active and unrestricted California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of database and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
- Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
