About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assisting with private label packaging roll-outs in collaboration with the Buying & Planning teams
  • Supporting the Design team in rolling out seasonal campaigns across digital, print and in-store channels
  • Creating and adapting assets for newsletters, social media, website banners, digital advertising, in-store point-of-sale material and other marketing collateral
  • Producing artwork that is accurate, consistent with brand guidelines and delivered on time
  • Using your repro knowledge: preparing artwork correctly for printers, suppliers and digital platforms
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative ideas and visual references as well as presenting design work when required to
  • Working closely with Marketing, Copy, Photography and Merchandising teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A tertiary qualification, such as a BTech degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication from a recognised institution
  • 1–2 years' experience in a graphic design role within an agency or design studio where you’ve worked with a team on a range of channels, including packaging
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals across both digital and print projects, especially in the packaging space
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Good understanding of typography, layout, colour and composition
  • Comfortable preparing artwork for both digital and print production
  • Basic understanding of packaging artwork and production processes
  • Knowledge of video editing, Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Comfortable receiving constructive feedback
  • Willingness to learn quickly and continuously improve
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
