About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and optimize Windows-based FactSet build systems
- Design and build self-service APIs and web portals
- Automate, maintain, and monitor infrastructure supporting critical Windows-based FactSet workflows
- Participate in an on-call rotation for rare, critical incidents
- Engage with high-level FactSet developers in monthly round tables to collaborate on project strategy and prioritization
- Build robust and secure pipelines to deliver FactSet's primary Windows Workstation application
- Migrate legacy software and processes to modern frameworks and libraries
- Automate build and deployment infrastructure so developers can focus on code rather than process
- Work in a small team of three on infrastructure management, debugging, troubleshooting, and community engagement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Basic Windows troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a high-level programming language such as C#, Python, Go, C++, Java, or Perl
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Familiarity with C# and/or Perl
- Exposure to common cloud infrastructure components, AWS preferred
- Familiarity with Windows software development practices
