About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, develop, and maintain C++ systems powering Symbology and company-wide resolution
Design and optimize high-throughput and low-latency service-oriented systems at enterprise scale
Build scalable APIs, interfaces, and integration layers for internal and external clients
Participate in technical design and code reviews
Monitor, troubleshoot, debug, and refine production environments to guarantee the quality and stability of Symbology’s T0 service offering
Champion best practices, mentor junior team members, and foster technical excellence in Symbology
Work on scalable architectures and efficient pipelines that impact how financial data is processed, integrated, and served to clients worldwide

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience programming in C++
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
Experience designing and implementing critical, distributed, scalable enterprise systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication for team collaboration
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
Exposure to CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, or automation tools
Experience with additional programming languages such as Perl, Python, or Shell is nice to have
Knowledge of relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL is nice to have
Experience with Perforce for code versioning is nice to have
Knowledge of infrastructure management tools such as Ansible or Terraform is nice to have
Understanding of financial data concepts or symbol resolution at scale for financial instruments is helpful, not required
