About the role

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our key client, ensuring their legal needs are met and expectations exceeded by our team.
  • Lead and inspire a team, including lawyers, paralegals, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Transforming how we work, through driving implementation of AI across our workstack.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and address any performance issues promptly.
  • Effectively allocate team members workloads and projects to optimize productivity and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for the client account, aligning with the firm's overall objectives.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments, ensuring a sufficient level of knowledge to engage with our clients around their legal needs.
  • Implement quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of work product and client service.
  • Manage the client account budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while delivering exceptional service.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with client matters and take proactive steps to protect the firm's interests.
  • Provide regular status reports to the client and firm management, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations.

Requirements

  • This role requires excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
  • 5 + years’ demonstrable experience of working in a legal environment
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and developing teams and supervising their work output
  • Law degree preferred, though not essential (Degree level education is a must have)
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to manage workflow - efficiently allocating, reporting and monitoring work of team
  • Excellent communicator and strong experience of client relationship management
  • Experience of designing and producing reporting
  • Passion for innovation and creativity in driving efficiencies through better management of process, playbooks, templates, and use of technology. Driving AI implementation will be a key aspect of the role.
  • Expert written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
