About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, write, coordinate, research, and submit grant proposals and funding submissions, including Service Area Competitions (SACs), supplemental funding requests, Look-Alike (LAL) renewals, Budget Period Renewals (BPRs), and annual certifications, for federal, state, and local agencies, as well as foundations and other philanthropic entities
Support the development and delivery of market analyses and Community Needs Assessments (CNAs), including data gathering and mapping using tools such as MySidewalk
Support health center workforce planning projects, staffing strategy, and related consulting engagements
Assist with research, data synthesis, facilitation preparation, and materials development for client strategic planning engagements
Support compliance-related projects (e.g., HRSA/BPHC compliance, operational site visit preparation), credentialing and privileging, and payer enrollment
Develop program plans, including statements of need, implementation strategy, evaluation strategy, and resource and budget development
Serve as a lead coordinator and content developer across assigned S&G engagements, ensuring cohesion in content, formatting, and overall deliverable quality
Engage subject matter experts across the firm for discussion and assembly of information relevant to proposals, assessments, and client deliverables—maximizing productivity and stewarding relationships with leaders across the organization
Develop and maintain a master file of content, including pending, active, and past grants, contracts, and projects for the division
Prepare and present clear, polished reports, proposals, and presentations to internal teams and clients
Identify pathways for senior leaders to recognize upselling and cross-selling opportunities; contribute to proposal development and pipeline building as needed
Demonstrate and uphold the firm's core values in all interactions, ensuring professionalism, integrity, and collaboration with both clients and colleagues.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, grant writing/development, nonprofit program management, or a related field, preferred
Bachelor's degree in public health or health related field and/or Master's degree (MPH, MHA, MPA, or MBA) preferred
Demonstrated success identifying, writing, developing, editing, and submitting grant applications; experience with HRSA/BPHC funding a plus
Preferred knowledge of the healthcare industry, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and community health centers
Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills; experience with data or mapping tools (e.g., MySidewalk) a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for varied audiences
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines with minimal supervision
Collaborative and team-oriented; comfortable partnering with subject matter experts across divisions
Strong attention to detail, especially in writing, analysis, and compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
