About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform various duties to ensure accurate and timely reporting with annuity reinsurers
- Prepare journal entries and required settlement reporting for annuity reinsurance treaties
- Participate in many aspects of annuity reinsurance accounting and reporting
- Prepare accounting/reporting entries and settlement reports for annuity treaties
- Partner with various areas to implement new reinsurance treaties / amendments
- Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of reinsurance accounts
- Assist with internal, external, and reinsurer audits
- Maintain key stroke level standard operating procedures
- Assist with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1+ year of relevant experience in reinsurance accounting or financial reporting
- Reinsurance accounting with annuities or financial services industries preferred
- CPA license or in pursuit of such license preferred
- Strong attention to detail
