About the role
- Support modeling for corporate reporting metrics including Stress Testing, Economic Capital, and Liability Durations
- Assist in performing analysis, providing insights, and improving existing processes
- Part of the Actuarial Education Program with exam support and rotation opportunities
- Generate actuarial projections using GGY AXIS modeling software
- Prepare data for actuarial models and execute controls on model inputs, outputs, and processes
- Manage model output and assist in analysis of results
- Create and maintain process documentation
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to align efforts and drive successful outcomes
- Actively engage in continuous improvements for both process and reporting
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field
- 3 – 5 actuarial exams passed preferred (near ASA or ASA)
- 1+ years experience preferred
- Life insurance and annuity knowledge preferred
- Exposure to GGY AXIS or similar actuarial modeling system preferred
- Demonstrate ability to apply actuarial principles to complex situations
- Ability to learn and utilize actuarial software systems
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills including advanced analytical and reasoning abilities
- Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to operate in unpredictable and challenging project environments
- Extremely detail oriented, analytical and able to handle multiple projects
- Team player able to function as a key member of a small group
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Minimal travel required (less than 10%)
