About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product strategy and roadmap across Ezurio's combined Single Board Computer portfolio
- Identify and prioritize new standard SBC opportunities across industrial, defense, aerospace, and medical markets
- Define integration strategy across SBC portfolios, including form factors and processor platforms
- Own competitive positioning against SBC, SOM, rugged, and defense suppliers
- Partner with product and engineering teams on the SBC software strategy, BSP support, software lifecycle commitments, and platform roadmap alignment
- Serve as primary commercial and technical owner for sustaining requests on shipped custom and standard SBCs
- Lead intake and review of sustaining requests, assessing scope and impact
- Decide which customer relationships to continue supporting versus transitioning toward end of life or last time buy
- Define commercial terms for sustaining engagements, including re-qualification costs, notice periods, and customer approval processes
- Own customer communication and formal acknowledgment of Product Change Notices affecting sustained boards
- Own commercial qualification and business case for new custom SBC programs from request through quoting and award
- Serve as primary commercial point of contact for custom program engagements
- Partner with Engineering program management from kick-off through sustaining
- Partner with engineering leadership on schedule, budget, and risk visibility
- Represent SBC sustaining and custom program status in quarterly business reviews and leadership updates
- Drive cross-functional alignment across sales, engineering, operations, and customer success
- Act as direct technical and commercial interface for key sustaining and custom program accounts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong hardware background with hands-on understanding of hardware design, PCB design cycle, BOM management, and hardware manufacturing processes
- Deep working knowledge of NXP and Texas Instruments processor platforms applied to single board computers
- Direct experience with custom hardware co-development programs, including statements of work, quoting, and change orders
- Demonstrated ability to own complex cross-functional decisions across sales, engineering, operations, and customer success
- Experience managing sustaining and end-of-life decisions on a mature installed customer base
- Track record of building process and ownership structure in ambiguous, fast-growing environments
- Technically credible with engineering on hardware depth and commercially credible with sales and executive leadership
- Commercial judgment balancing long-term customer partnership with sound commercial and contractual decisions
- Ability to independently turn ambiguous business needs into clear decisions, operating cadence, and follow-through
- 8+ years of combined experience in product management, hardware engineering, or technical program management within embedded computing, SBC/SOM, or industrial electronics
- Experience in medical, defense, aerospace, industrial, or other long-lifecycle, high-reliability markets
- Familiarity with AS9100D or comparable quality systems
- Experience integrating acquired product lines or brands into an existing portfolio
- Familiarity with SMARC and/or OSM form factors and their ecosystems
- Background blending hardware engineering and product or commercial roles, such as former hardware engineer, FAE, or program manager who moved into product management
- Legal authorization to work in the US
