About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive high-priority Operations strategic initiatives from ambiguity through execution and measurable impact
- Launch a new operations tech stack and large cross-functional initiatives tied to company-level KRs
- Manage weather playbooks, complex partner launches, and seamless high-value customer launches
- Build a feedback engine converting 200,000+ monthly customer and partner contacts into structured signals
- Design and run Operations business-operations rhythms, including staff meetings, business reviews, planning cycles, and goal-setting
- Lead process improvement and redesign across the Operations organization
- Roll out operational change and communicate initiatives internally
- Own documentation standards and keep operational information current and accessible
- Build new operational capabilities from scratch, prove the model, and hand off to permanent owners
- Serve as the Operations AI thought leader by evaluating tools, building business cases, and driving AI and automation adoption
- Report to the Chief Operations Officer and act as a strategic partner to the COO and Operations leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in operations strategy, business operations, or consulting
- At least 3 years leading teams or programs at a fast-moving technology company
- Experience building new functions, processes, or teams from scratch without an existing playbook
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and influence people without direct authority
- Strong understanding and point of view on AI and automation in operations
- Ability to use data to define problems, measure results, and challenge assumptions
- Credibility working alongside data scientists
- Ability to build trust with senior leaders and drive cross-functional decisions
- Clear writing and confident presentation skills
- Strategic thinking combined with operational execution
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other applicable events
- Must be able to work in the United States; ezCater does not sponsor work visas or legal permanent residence
