About the role
- Drive innovative and creative approaches that can move the needle on our key growth initiatives (acquisition, activation, retention, expansion) alongside product, analytics, research, content, marketing, and engineering counterparts.
- Partner with product, engineering, business partners, and research partners to establish a clear vision and strategy for your area that looks beyond a single experiment and considers the full customer journey and opportunity space.
- Explore and refine concepts, then narrow to the best design solution by weighing data, customer insight, technical feasibility, and scope with your team.
- Translate growth opportunities into cohesive user journeys across onboarding, activation, in-product education, engagement, and lifecycle touchpoints.
- Work in Figma to deliver elegant solutions by crafting user flows, user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and researchers to develop hypotheses, design experiments (A/B tests and multi-variate tests), and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative learnings. You are comfortable exploring dashboards and experiment results yourself to uncover insights and tell clear stories with data.
- Contribute directly to moving business metrics, using data to inform and validate your design decisions while balancing long-term product quality.
- Raise the bar for the quality of design at ezCater through your design craft, facilitation, and workshop skills; help your team frame problems, explore divergent solutions, and converge on impactful outcomes.
- Contribute to and advocate for our design system, ensuring experiences are consistent, scalable, and accessible across the product.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility in our products and within our organization, ensuring our solutions work well for diverse customers and use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role, with accompanying experience in visual/graphic design.
- Experience designing for complex product surfaces and multi-step journeys, ideally including experimentation or growth-focused work.
- Ability to drive design concepts from business strategy discussions through to day-to-day execution, connecting your work clearly to customer and business outcomes.
- A transparent approach to working that invites others into the process and creates a welcoming venue for feedback.
- A positive attitude and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback, as well as regularly seeking feedback on your own performance.
- Proficiency in Figma, FigJam (or similar collaboration tools), and prototyping tools. You keep up with the latest tools and are willing to share your knowledge with the team.
- Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
- A detailed portfolio that showcases how you’ve tackled complicated problems, the evolution of your design process from discovery through launch, and clear customer and business impact (ideally including experiments or measurable outcomes).
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to bring others along through your process and align partners around a vision.
- Soft skills that are as well developed as your design skills, including collaboration, facilitation, and relationship-building.
- A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
