About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with AEs to understand customer needs, shape deal strategy, and share responsibility for outcomes.
- Lead discovery, presentations, and demos, tailoring messaging while positioning a standardized offering.
- Assess technical fit early, identifying risks and challenging weak opportunities.
- Provide an independent view on deal health and closing probability during forecasts.
- Advise customers on their security landscape with clear, practical recommendations.
- Handle RFP/RFI responses aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.
- Act as the main technical contact, resolving most queries and involving SOC or engineering when needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar role in cybersecurity, MSSP or a related technology environment.
- Experience with complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and longer deal timelines.
- Strong technical acumen to assess feasibility, engage technical stakeholders, and understand customer requirements.
- Fluent in English and German to communicate confidently with both technical audiences and C-level executives.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, business-focused messaging.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills and adapt quickly in customer discussions.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) as a plus.
