About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the classification process and review analysts’ deliverables
  • Provide technical assistance to team members performing classifications
  • Track deadlines and due dates for requested classifications
  • Work with the Manager and team members to prioritize and meet time frames
  • Understand clients’ industries, classification needs and deadlines
  • Provide in-depth analysis of controversial cases
  • Build strong relationships with team members and mentor Staff
  • Develop relationships with clients and respond directly to client questions as appropriate
  • Provide regular informal feedback, including constructive feedback and recognition of outstanding work
  • Develop, mentor and supervise Analysts and Advanced Analysts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze regulations and procedures and relate them to operations
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing a team
  • Fluency in English is required
  • 2–4 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or undergraduate degree in international trade
  • Experience working in the Global Trade industry
  • Experience determining tariff classifications under the Harmonized Tariff System
  • Export Control classification knowledge is a plus
  • Relevant experience in biotechnology, medical technology and/or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous
  • Proven capability in driving multiple projects
  • Excellent client management and project management experience
