About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • participate in and supervise multiple and challenging tax engagements
  • contribute to the delivery of compliance services and innovative tax planning ideas
  • apply a strong understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax to support tax compliance and reporting engagements
  • prepare and review U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients
  • prepare and review U.S. income tax provisions for public and private companies
  • research U.S. federal and state tax issues, including cross border matters, and draft clear, practical technical memoranda
  • develop thoughtful, practical tax planning recommendations and implementation approaches
  • exercise sound professional judgement in complex and technical areas
  • build and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients
  • identify opportunities to enhance client service and support additional tax planning initiatives
  • leverage technology to improve efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
  • participating in national initiatives
  • encouraging communication and effectively supervising team members
  • participating in recruiting efforts when necessary
  • contributing to a flexible, stable and team-oriented working culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field
  • a minimum of 3 years of experience in US Tax
  • Completion of the US CPA designation and or US Enrolled Agent certification or active pursuit of either credential
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership abilities
  • A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
  • Strong project management, organizational skills and the ability to deliver quality work within tight deadlines
  • A process-oriented approach to work and excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
