About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with the firm’s ISQM 1 requirements.
  • Consult with engagement teams to ensure compliance with auditing standards and firm methodology.
  • Manage audit engagements by defining audit strategy and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocols.
  • Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
  • Lead and manage fieldwork on clients’ sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process.
  • Leverage your expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in professional practice roles and delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing value added recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management.
  • The ability to create a positive learning culture, and coach and counsel junior team members to help them to develop.
