About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You are responsible for building data platforms that enable our clients and business partners to make efficient decisions with ease.
- You design robust solutions on state-of-the-art data engines such as Databricks, and modern data warehousing solutions (Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake).
- Solving complex business problems on a large scale.
- Participating in cross-functional initiatives and collaborating across various domains.
- Interacting with engineers, product/project managers, and partners from all over the world.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of experience in Data Engineering area
- Hands-on experience in Databricks
- 3 years of experience in Big Data
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Background in data warehousing, data pipelines, distributed data processing, software engineering components and data modeling concepts
- Analytical problem-solving skills, particularly those that apply to a big data environment
- Experience in working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
- Experience in at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Strong Experience in design techniques of relational databases and non-relational storage
- Strong Experience with concepts such as Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes , Data Mesh
- Very good English (verbal and written)
- Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), DevOps and CI/CD principals
- Ideally, knowledge of data formats: Parquet, ORC, Avro, as well as emerging concepts like Deltalake/Apache Hudi/Iceberg
- Experience with Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps principals.
