About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a Java Developer to contribute in various streams of implementation in Insurance projects:
- Assist in the development and implementation of Java applications for Insurance projects.
- Collaborate with team members to support project objectives.
- Help analyze requirements and contribute to the design process.
- Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software applications.
- Learn from and support senior team members in technical tasks.
- Java Consulting implementation projects with a focus on developing new solutions and expanding system functionalities within the scope of R&D activities.
- Cooperating with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new Java technologies/solutions that may enhance the efficiency of business processes.
- Reporting the progress of R&D projects and documenting the results of implementations, as well as post-implementation review.
- Designing, testing, and implementing new Java solutions/modules – conducting workshops, pilots, proof-of-concept initiatives, and deploying new or improved system features.
- Gain hands-on exposure to EIS through internal training paths and on-the-job learning, progressively contributing to EIS-related configuration, integration, and extension tasks.
- Support senior EIS specialists in developing platform integrations and backend logic, enabling transition toward EIS specialization over time.
- Participate in the cross-skilling journey toward Guidewire technologies, expanding competencies in insurance domain platforms and enterprise-grade architecture.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Science, other Technical qualification
- 3+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar position
- Understanding of Java and related frameworks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Interest in the Insurance or Banking sector.
- Familiarity with Insurance core platforms is a plus.
- Relevant coursework or certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies is advantageous.
