About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and optimize C# / .NET Core Web APIs
  • Implement secure, scalable, and high performance backend services
  • Apply best practices in dependency injection, middleware, async programming, and error handling
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with proper versioning and documentation
  • Integrate backend services with databases and external systems
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of backend components
  • Deploy and manage backend services on Azure App Service
  • Configure application settings, environments, and secrets
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using Azure Application Insights
  • Troubleshoot production issues using logs, telemetry, and metrics
  • Support release and environment management activities
  • Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic
  • Ensure data integrity, performance, and transaction handling
  • Integrate with authentication providers and external APIs
  • Own backend deliverables for assigned features or modules
  • Participate in technical design discussions and effort estimations
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Mentor Consultants and junior developers
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross functional teams
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience in C# and .NET Core Web API development
  • Solid understanding of REST principles and API design patterns
  • Experience with dependency injection, middleware, and async architecture
  • Knowledge of API security, OAuth2, JWT, and authorization practices
  • Experience working in microservices based environments (preferred)
  • Strong experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL
  • Good understanding of database design and performance tuning
  • Hands on experience with Azure App Service
  • Strong experience using Azure Application Insights for monitoring and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes
