About the role
- Facilitate and support the deployment of hardware and software to end users, including installation, configuration and testing of complex hardware
- Facilitate and support provisioning and deprovisioning, including setup for new hires and receiving hardware from separating employees
- Assist with or coordinate repair of end user hardware and reinstallation of software to resolve incidents
- Resolve incidents associated with firm-standard end user software and hardware, including mobile/hand-held technologies
- Identify sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences
- Provide after-hours service for escalated issues and tasks from the Service Desk or supervisor under minimal supervision
- Perform asset management activities (procurement, receipt, inventory, tracking, distribution) per firm policy
- Assist with off-site technology support for firm sponsored functions/meetings
- Assist with IT tasks related to office moves, buildouts and relocations
- Act as remote hands for other EY Technology functions such as Telecommunications and Hosting
- Maintain thorough understanding of EY Technology’s organization and service offerings to address end user needs
- Report to and receive oversight from a supervisor with regular contact to assign and monitor activities
Requirements
- Approximately 2-4 years of experience in end user technology support
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is desirable
- Effective analytical skills to address end-user incidents
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple software and hardware technologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent customer service attitude
- Ability to liaise and work effectively with all levels of end users and IT personnel
- Ability to provide after-hours service for escalated issues under minimal supervision
- Experience with deployment, configuration, testing, repair and reinstallation of hardware and software
- Experience with asset management (procurement, receipt, inventory, tracking, distribution)
