About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor junior associates in tax disputes
- Prepare drafting of notices of objection and representations to tax authorities
- Manage litigation efforts in resolving tax disputes
- Provide legal opinions regarding tax consequences of transactions
- Develop client acquisition and relationship management strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 5 years of experience in income tax, sales tax, and other tax areas
- Proven track record in managing complex tax litigation cases
- Deep understanding of Canada’s income tax, sales tax, and other Canadian tax systems
- A member in good standing of the Law Society of your province of residence
- Proficiency in both French and English
