About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead administration and optimization of FireMon Security Manager and related modules
- Maintain FireMon policies, rule sets, dashboards, and compliance settings
- Conduct regular firewall policy analysis, cleanup, rule optimization, and risk assessments using FireMon
- Generate automated reports on configuration compliance, policy violations, and security posture
- Integrate FireMon with firewalls, cloud, and SIEM platforms as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot Firewall, NAC, Proxy and WAF solutions to safeguard network traffic flow
- Monitor and respond to the security alerts triggered for Firewall, NAC, Proxy and WAF security solution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions and ensure seamless operations
- Monitor and analyse security incidents, responding promptly to security breaches and user incidents
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging security threats, adapting security protocols as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues in a timely manner
- Continuously improve and optimize security processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of experience in network security engineering
- Strong, hands on expertise with FireMon (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of firewall technologies (Palo Alto / Check Point / Fortinet / Cisco)
- Experience with TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPN, and network troubleshooting
- Familiarity with SIEM, cloud security concepts (AWS/Azure), and network security best practices
- Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, or relevant certificates are a plus
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies
