About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process payroll data accurately and on time, including new joiners, leavers, statutory payments, and compliance with regulations.
- Review payrolls and client communications prepared by Associates to ensure complete accuracy and quality.
- Monitor the client mailbox and respond promptly to payroll-related queries.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to junior Associates and clients.
- Handle engagement financials, including billing, reconciliation, and revenue tracking.
- Coach and train Associates, identifying skill gaps and supporting development through feedback and training.
- Participate in process improvements, system testing, and internal quality and risk management activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant end-to-end payroll processing experience and knowledge
- Experience with Iris payroll software
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent IT Skills and highly competent with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ideally, you’ll also have CIPP or alternative payroll qualification
- Previous experience in a Big 4 firm of payroll bureau is desirable
