About the role
- Lead and mentor a high-performing data engineering team.
- Engage with internal and external clients to assess their needs.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines.
- Manage data integration processes.
- Identify and enforce best practices for data quality.
- Drive data modernization initiatives.
- Supervise data profiling and cleansing activities.
- Lead the implementation of streaming systems for real-time data processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a relevant field.
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in managerial role within data engineering, preferably in consulting or financial services.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure.
- Expertise in data processing, cloud data architecture, and data warehouse principles.
- Experience in Data Governance, Unity Catalog, and/or MS Purview.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
