About the role
- You produce robust financial analyses, including critical review of public accounts and corporate financial statements (IFRS / French GAAP - PCG), ratio analysis (leverage, coverage, liquidity), and assessment of working capital requirements (WCR) and cash flows.
- You assess sovereign and parapublic risk by evaluating implicit/explicit support and institutional frameworks.
- You perform company and sector analyses, examining business models and positioning (utilities, transport, social infrastructure, energy), as well as sensitivity analyses and multi‑country benchmarks.
- You maintain a strong documentation culture, and are familiar with term sheets/loan agreements, covenant packages, securities/collateral and key clauses in bond indentures.
- You model and process data with excellent Excel skills, able to build and audit simple cash‑flow models and handle large datasets to produce multi‑country comparisons (knowledge of Power BI/SQL appreciated).
- You draft clear, structured and well‑argued credit notes, including recommendations (borrower/obligor rating, outlook, key risks/mitigants, early‑warning indicators).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial analysis of public and private counterparties.
- Strong command of financial analysis and project finance fundamentals, notably SPV cash‑flow waterfalls, DSCR/LLCR, debt sizing, covenants, reserve accounts, security packages and risk allocation in concessions/PPPs.
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge of Italian and Spanish is a plus.
- Degree from a top‑level higher education institution, ideally with a specialization in finance, public economics or risk management.
