About the role
- Help our clients identify the right transactions for their business
- Work with clients at all stages of the transaction
- Participate in due diligence engagements related to acquisitions or divestitures
- Analyze the financial performance of target companies
- Prepare financial analyses
- Identify and quantify GAAP-related issues
- Prepare and assess pro forma financial information
- Identify issues affecting purchase price adjustments
- Determine post-acquisition adjustments and actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or a related discipline
- CPA designation (or equivalent qualification)
- At least three years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a public accounting firm
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of analytics tools; experience with Power BI and Alteryx is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong team orientation
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to adapt to new challenges
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively
- Willingness to travel within Canada and to the United States
- Fluency in French and English required
