About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day Application Management support for SAP Applications, including service requests, incident management, enhancement requests, change management, and problem management as a Level 2 or 3 Application Management Specialist
- Lead and coordinate resolution of complex technical issues and system outages, including root cause analysis and corrective action
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, assess business needs, and advise on SAP VIM solutions and designs
- Lead and contribute to the design and configuration of SAP VIM solutions aligned with client requirements and industry best practices
- Gather business needs and translate them into effective SAP VIM solutions
- Configure SAP VIM settings, workflows, document types, data capture, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems
- Customize SAP VIM functionalities for specific business processes and requirements
- Develop and maintain configuration documentation, user guides, and test scripts
- Mentor and train junior SAP VIM team members
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and SAP best practices to drive automation and innovation
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as needed
- Work on shift hours depending on client requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.
- 7-10 Years of experience required in one or more areas within SAP VIM preferably with Global client
- Experience providing support for SAP VIM module incidents
- Experience analyzing incidents and providing solutions
- Experience working with customers and teams to follow up and address issues and requests
- Understanding of new business requirements for change requests
- Cross-functional communication skills
- Experience in offshore/onsite model
- Experience with defect resolution and defect analysis related to VIM
- Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment
- Flexibility to manage work hours, shifts, and on-call responsibilities
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice management, and document capture
- Proficiency in SAP VIM configuration, workflow design, data extraction, OCR integration, and integration with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
- Experience with SAP VIM integration with OpenText Extended ECM or other document management systems
