About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day application management support for SAP applications through service requests, incident management, and enhancement requests as a Level 2 specialist
- Provide Level 2 support for SAP CPI/PI/PO development activities, including customizations, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple SAP environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customer CPI developments and SAP system performance
- Gather requirements with functional consultants and translate them into technical solutions
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions within the SAP BTP Integration Suite
- Connect SAP S/4HANA, cloud applications such as SuccessFactors and Ariba, and third-party systems
- Design iFlows and secure APIs
- Perform debugging and testing of CPI/PI/PO developments
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment of CPI/PI/PO objects
- Document technical specifications, code changes, and implementation details
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers
- Drive end-to-end SAP project delivery from requirements gathering through implementation
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and SAP best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support
- Work shift hours according to client requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences
- Minimum of 7 years working experience in SAP CPI/PI/PO development with a focus on level 2 support
- 3 to 5 years of SAP PI/PO/CPI experience as a lead person responsible for integration design and implementation in at least two full-cycle SAP projects or roll-outs
- Experience designing complex integrations, cloud applications, and security architectures
- Strong skills in SAP PI/PO/CPI design, configuration, and administration
- Good hands-on knowledge of Java, XSLT Mapping, Java mapping, and Groovy Scripts
- Understanding of business processes and ability to create and maintain end-to-end functional designs for interfaces
- Knowledge of integration technologies and SAP Integration architecture
- Strong knowledge of IDOC, RFC, JDBC, File, ABAP Proxy, SOAP, HTTP, REST, SFTP, SuccessFactors, and sFTP
- Knowledge of SAP BPM/BRM design, build, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform services such as CPI-DS, SDI, Open Connectors, and Persistence
- Strong knowledge of integrating SAP and non-SAP applications with third-party and internal applications
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a global setting with multi-regional teams, cultural nuances, time zone differences, and shifts
- Flexibility to manage work hours, shifts, and on-call support
- Ideally: knowledge of HTML/XML/WSDL/XSD, JSON, SOAP, AXIS, ODATA, EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML for B2B EDI, APIM, Event Mesh, standard/custom adapter modules, Java UDF, and NWDS
