About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop comprehensive AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and best practices
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI use
- Lead and obtain internal AI certifications for in-house AI products
- Stay updated on AI regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring product adherence
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other internal stakeholders to integrate AI governance principles into project development and deployment
- Conduct training and workshops on AI governance best practices
- Monitor and audit product compliance with AI policies and procedures
- Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of AI governance initiatives
- Partner with regulators, industry groups, and other external stakeholders on AI governance topics
- Communicate complex AI governance issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- Champion ethical development and implementation of AI models
- Foster continuous learning and awareness of AI regulations and compliance within the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law, or a combination of technology and law
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Deep understanding of ethical considerations and potential risks associated with AI
- Familiarity with relevant AI regulations and compliance requirements across major jurisdictions
- Familiarity with data science and/or machine learning
- Generative AI concepts is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interest in politics and legislation within data and AI
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks
- Exposure to law practices
