About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support clients across the full policy lifecycle, including new business, underwriting, policy servicing, billing, claims, disbursements, and regulatory updates
  • Lead Policy Administration System conversion initiatives from legacy to modern platforms across Life, Annuity, and Group business lines
  • Drive data migration and conversion activities, including data quality rules, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation logic, audit controls, tolerance thresholds, and validation metrics
  • Define data architecture and conversion design decisions with source and target system experts
  • Communicate complex conversion trade-offs to senior stakeholders, actuarial and finance teams, and technical audiences
  • Create business process maps, future-state architectures, and work breakdown structures for conversion and transformation programs
  • Lead requirements elicitation through JAD sessions and workshops; develop BRDs, FSDs, and other documentation
  • Challenge requirements and change requests by proposing optimized, value-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with product design and development teams to evaluate functional enhancements
  • Support product configuration decisions, acceptance criteria definition, and user acceptance testing
  • Contribute to data migration and data governance activities
  • Advise clients through insights, process improvements, and best-practice recommendations
  • Make decisions, optimize processes, manage resources, and oversee team management as needed
  • Allocate personnel, supervise team members, assign tasks, provide tools and support, and evaluate performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.)
  • Approximately 10 to 15 years of experience working in the Life & Annuity insurance domain
  • Hands-on expertise in policy administration data migration, including conversion strategy and execution planning, data quality frameworks, audit controls, and governance practices
  • Hands-on experience with policy lifecycle processes and insurance operational workflows
  • Ability to produce high-quality process maps, data flows, and requirements documentation
  • Proficiency in managing multi-vendor engagements and complex project environments
  • Ability to interpret data, identify gaps, and propose practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for client-facing interactions
  • Ability to collaborate with technical, functional, and business stakeholders
  • Good understanding of SQL, stored procedures, and ETL frameworks (ideally)
  • Experience working on data migration projects and applying data governance best practices (ideally)
  • Knowledge of insurance COTS platforms such as FAST, ALIP, OIPA, and wmA (ideally)
  • Certifications such as AAPA or LOMA (ideally)
  • Understanding of upstream and downstream integrations across the policy lifecycle (ideally)
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA, TFS, and Azure DevOps (ideally)
