About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work as an individual contributor or lead in one or more Wealth and Asset Management projects
  • Manage a team of junior business analysts as required by the project
  • Understand requirements and create detailed stories with acceptance criteria
  • Interface and communicate with onsite coordinators
  • Complete assigned tasks on time and provide regular status reports to the lead, Manager, and onsite coordinators
  • Interface with customer representatives as needed
  • Work with data to provide requirements and vice versa
  • Travel to customer locations as needed
  • Build a quality culture
  • Manage performance management for direct reports according to organizational policies
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example
  • Train and mentor project resources
  • Participate in organization-wide people initiatives
  • Review client processes and workflows and recommend improvements to maximize package benefits
  • Define and validate package customizations, integrations, and data requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8 to 12 years working as a business analyst in the financial industry
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets, Financial Market Asset Classes, Products, and Trade Life Cycle
  • Sectorial experience in financial services / capital markets
  • Domain knowledge across front office, middle office, and back office for buy-side and/or sell-side businesses
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, trade execution, data control and operations, and portfolio administration
  • High-level understanding of data models and application/business architecture
  • Experience understanding and streamlining client requirements
  • Ability to relate high-level business requirements to package capabilities
  • Ability to define and validate customization needs
  • Ability to define and validate integration and data requirements
  • Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, and/or DB2 databases
  • Good data analytics skills
  • In-depth knowledge of CFA concepts, including portfolio management, wealth planning, fixed income, equity, alternative investment, and derivatives
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • MBA, MCA, BE, B.Tech, or equivalent with 8+ years of experience
  • Prior client-facing experience
  • Techno-functional knowledge of core wealth / asset management
  • Good exposure to Aladdin from BlackRock, Charles River, or an equivalent platform
  • Understanding of data analytics or data visualization concepts
  • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
  • Exposure to Azure/AWS is a plus
