About the role
- Accounts receivable & debtor management: You ensure our invoices are accurate, complete and sent on time — and that incoming payments are monitored.
- Preparation and dispatch of outgoing invoices based on completed projects
- Monitoring of outstanding items and independent dunning processes
- Point of contact for clients regarding invoice and payment enquiries
- Accounts payable & creditor accounting: You ensure a clean, structured document workflow for incoming items.
- Review, categorization and pre-accounting of incoming invoices
- Maintenance and reconciliation of creditor accounts
- Point of contact for suppliers regarding payment and billing enquiries
- Planning: You always keep an overview of our financial situation and plan proactively.
- Daily account reconciliation and processing of payment transactions
- Communication with banks
- Maintenance of liquidity planning
- Controlling & reporting: You provide management with decision-relevant figures — concise and directly.
- Independent cost analyses: You identify variances, question spending structures and actively propose optimizations
- Preparation of profit and loss statements, cost overviews and KPIs for management
- Close cooperation with our external tax office: Provision of documents, clarification of queries, support with the year-end closing
- Processes & development: We don’t consider financial processes static — and neither do you.
- Active participation in the design and further development of our accounting and reporting processes
- Collaboration with our automation department on the digitalization of financial workflows
- You contribute your own ideas where processes can become more efficient, leaner or better
- Payroll (preparatory): Support with preparatory payroll accounting in coordination with the tax office and HR. Basic knowledge is sufficient — no independent payroll processing required
Requirements
- Completed commercial training, ideally as an accountant, tax clerk or equivalent
- Initial experience in financial accounting or controlling
- Confident use of common accounting software (especially DATEV) and ERP systems
- Good understanding of business KPIs and profit & loss structures
- Structured, conscientious way of working
- Proactive communication: you escalate in time before problems arise
- Basic knowledge of preparatory payroll accounting is a plus, not mandatory
