About the role
- Support the accuracy, integrity, and usability of financial data at Extend
- Take ownership of key data processes such as obligor reporting and financial reconciliations
- Partner with Finance and other cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven insights
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance reporting and analytics workflows
- Build and maintain clear, insightful dashboards to track key financial and operational metrics
- Build and enhance data pipelines and data architecture in partnership with Data Engineering using tools like DBT, Snowflake, JIRA, and GitHub
- Lead efforts to improve financial data integrity through appropriate tools and governance
- Surface actionable insights and improve reporting infrastructure
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, ideally within tech or fintech environments
- Strong foundational knowledge of finance and accounting concepts; accounting or audit experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient in SQL, with experience querying large datasets and performing end-to-end financial analyses
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to drive meaningful work independently
- Collaborative team player with empathy, humility, and a willingness to learn from others
