About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage business and IT stakeholders to develop and evolve the digital strategy, roadmap, and technology target state in alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and integrate them into the digital roadmap
- Analyze EDC’s technology landscape and provide actionable insights guiding technology-target-state decisions
- Assess technical debt risks and balance debt reduction with development of new technology capabilities
- Apply business architecture and business capabilities to architecture designs
- Guide cross-functional framing of full-stack digital roadmap project execution
- Enable CX, application, data, integration, and infrastructure teams to collaborate on outcome-driven architecture designs
- Promote and operate within end-to-end architecture governance value streams
- Translate business needs into cross-domain architectural solution guidelines
- Communicate architectural strategies, roadmaps, and governance to business and IT stakeholders
- Develop and maintain influence across key business and IT stakeholders
- Coach and mentor practitioners in other architecture disciplines
- Support development of architectural principles and standards
- Support development of business architecture deliverables, including business capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in a field relevant to enterprise architecture discipline and practice
- Minimum of 7 years’ combined experience in enterprise or solution architecture
- Expert knowledge and experience developing executable architecture designs
- Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across cross-functional domains
- Ability to think strategically, act tactically, and execute operationally
- Ability to conceptualize and articulate architecture visions aligned with enterprise direction
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics
- Familiarity with information management, system development life cycle management, IT service management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks
- Understanding of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially enterprise-scale frameworks
- Knowledge of EA, business, and IT principles and processes
- Familiarity with EA tools, graphical modeling approaches, and repository management
- Candidates must be able to work legally in Canada at the time of application, preferably Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Candidates must meet government security screening requirements
- Bilingual English and French is an asset
