About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and operate the UiPath cloud orchestrator and design development, test and production environments
  • Design, deliver and maintain unattended robot infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Cloud PC, machine pools and capacity planning
  • Manage UiPath upgrades, patches, feature rollouts and releases
  • Define and enforce platform, security and governance standards for automation
  • Design and manage robot/service identities, Active Directory/Entra ID access and secret management solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security and audit requirements
  • Define UiPath development standards, including REFramework, queues, exception handling and retry patterns
  • Develop reusable libraries, components and templates
  • Review technical designs and code and advise senior and lead developers
  • Ensure production reliability, monitoring and support
  • Monitor operational metrics and respond to incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Coordinate changes, risk assessments, approvals and production launches
  • Design and lead UiPath integrations with ServiceNow, APIs, data platforms, Power Platform and other automation technologies
  • Ensure alignment with EDC enterprise architecture and digital strategy
  • Lead adoption of AI capabilities within UiPath and other automation platforms
  • Manage AI consumption, cost controls, usage tagging and responsible AI usage
  • Act as a technical point of contact, facilitate communities of practice and mentor developers
  • Communicate platform technical risks, options and decisions to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • At least 7 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong mastery of the UiPath platform and orchestrator
  • Experience with unattended robots and robotic execution infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)/Cloud PC
  • Experience with automated service integrations and vault-style authentication (e.g., CyberArk/Idira)
  • Experience with REFramework and scalable automation tools
  • Proven experience in regulated operational automation environments
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Git
  • Proven ability managing senior engineers and enterprise-scale platform automation
  • Ability to meet government security requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application; preference given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, banking or other regulated environments — asset
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Power Platform — asset
  • Experience with API integrations, API management and data platforms — asset
  • Experience managing AI-driven automation in production — asset
  • Fluency in both of Canada's official languages, English and French — asset
  • Strong communication skills and ease presenting to technical and business audiences — asset
