About the role
- Oversee full-cycle accounting: Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple business lines with complex rev rec and accruals, including 340B contract pharmacy and home infusion segments.
- Drive technical accounting rigor: Lead purchase accounting for M&A activity, ensure compliance with healthcare-specific accounting standards, and manage audit readiness and support.
- Implement process improvements: Develop and enforce SOPs, strengthen close checklists, and enhance documentation to boost accuracy and efficiency within a fragmented systems environment.
- Lead and develop a small accounting team: Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to staff accountant and AP, fostering a proactive, solution-oriented culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with finance leadership and operational teams to support strategic initiatives, deliver financial insights, and scale finance functions alongside rapid business growth.
Requirements
- Deep Technical Accounting & Accrual Expertise: Hands-on experience with complex accrual accounting, ensuring accuracy during month-end close despite fragmented systems and audit pressures.
