Ability to produce engineering requirements including; design changes, modifications, defect investigations, obsolescence and alterations/additions.
Apply deep technical understanding of Power & Propulsion and Auxiliary Systems within a Marine Environment.
Investigating and solve complex technical problems in concept, basic and detailed designs.
Develop and maintain technical procedures, standards, processes, practices, guidelines, and standards.
Interface directly with our customers and clients, representing our teams to discuss and deliver engineering solutions to complex problems.
Requirements
Degree qualified in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Marine Technology, Naval Engineering), or equivalent experience in the naval and commercial ship design, construction, or maintenance domain.
Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., RINA, IMarEST, IMechE, IET).
Recognised as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council (or actively working towards achieving accredited status)
Strong understanding of Requirements capture and management.
Strong understanding of through-life support.
Strong understanding of scope of work development.
