Define, document and evolve the software architecture (cloud, on‑premises, edge)
Select and implement appropriate architectural patterns (microservices, event‑driven, DDD, CQRS, etc.)
Ensure system performance, resilience, maintainability and scalability
Drive architecture governance (reviews, ADRs, risk management, compliance)
Design observable architectures (logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring)
Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure compliance with SLAs/SLOs
Anticipate performance and scaling challenges
Mentor and guide technical teams on key architectural decisions
Integrate cybersecurity considerations from design (SDL, OWASP, IEC-62443)
Contribute to defining test, validation and resilience strategies (V&V, chaos engineering, etc.)
Work closely with product, QA and engineering teams

Requirements

Master's degree in computer science or equivalent (engineering degree preferred)
At least 5 years' experience in software architecture (cloud, edge or distributed systems)
Expertise with Azure, Kubernetes and microservices architectures
Strong command of architectural patterns (DDD, hexagonal, event‑driven, CQRS)
Experience with critical, industrial or high‑availability systems
Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, etc.)
Solid understanding of cybersecurity concerns (OWASP, Zero Trust, IEC‑62443, etc.)
Familiarity with OT/IIoT environments is a plus
Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills
