About the role

  • Define and document CAD standards using Siemens NX, including templates and best practices
  • Develop workflows for managing CAD data (NX) within Teamcenter PLM systems
  • Integrate CAx tools (Siemens NX, CATIA V5 and multi-CAD) with Teamcenter PLM systems and resolve related issues
  • Lead mentoring sessions and produce user documentation
  • Review CAD models to ensure their accuracy and compliance with established standards
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing and IT teams as well as with the Siemens partner
  • Analyze, identify and propose improvements to engineering processes tailored to internal client needs
  • Participate in workshops to gather requirements and user stories
  • Interact with various entities across the engineering organization to ensure the applicability of proposed solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and more than 5 years of relevant industry experience with Siemens NX
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and CATIA V5
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T/PMI and engineering standards
  • Good general understanding of PLM principles and experience with Teamcenter
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to train or mentor others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of aircraft development (an asset)
  • Experience at Bombardier and strong familiarity with BES (Bombardier Engineering System) highly desirable
