About the role
- Lead process engineering strategy, covering methods, capability improvement, process design, and optimisation
- Develop and implement best‑in‑class industrial processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and alignment with business goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools, diagnostics, and SPS/SIM methodologies
- Manage investment planning, ensuring strong ROI for new equipment and manufacturing technologies
- Lead retrofit, renewal, and deployment of new tools, machines, and production assets
- Oversee layout design, ergonomics, workflow optimisation, and process flow simulation
- Ensure equipment maintainability through TPM practices and engineering standardisation
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, developing skills, performance and engagement
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, industrial deployment, maintenance, and operations teams
- Provide technical guidance to external suppliers and design partners
Requirements
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
- Additional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, TPM, NEBOSH, etc.) are a plus, not a requirement
- Knowledge of lean principles, industrial diagnostics, and continuous improvement techniques
- Familiarity with TPM, equipment maintainability, and operational performance metrics (OEE, TTP, DT, etc.)
- Ability to lead engineering teams, manage budgets, and drive change in complex environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable using ERP systems and MS Office for reporting and planning
- Experience in layout design, capacity planning, ergonomics, and process optimisation
- Strong experience in manufacturing or process engineering leadership
- Experience in simulation tools, digital manufacturing or Industry 4.0
- Exposure to industrial investment planning and ROI analysis
- Background in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing systems
- Experience working within SPS frameworks or similar operational excellence systems
