About the role
- Design or contribute to the design of mechanical systems and components
- Design and/or modify mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements
- Support prototype fabrication
- Contribute to project ramp-up and production release
- Prepare and/or modify assembly and detail drawings
- Create and/or update bills of materials for systems
Requirements
- D.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering Technology (design option, including CAD training in solid and/or surface modeling) + 2 years of mechanical design experience with CAD, OR D.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering Technology (manufacturing option, including CAD training in solid and/or surface modeling) + 3 years of mechanical design experience with CAD, OR A.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering Technology + 4 years of mechanical design experience with CAD
- Technical knowledge in the design of mechanical systems and components
- Proficiency with CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety and workplace ergonomics
