About the role
- The Electronic Systems Integration & Verification Engineer will perform but is not limited to the following types of activities centred on a redesign to resolve obsolescence of a COTs device on a PCB for a naval application.
- Support functional testing of new Firmware at CCA level in Stevenage lab
- Produce and maintain test plans
- Liaising with Firmware Team to identify and help resolve issues
- Integration testing of new CCA into subsystem testing using existing NGTS scripts
- Producing design proving test reports
- Support certification by writing design statements to support hardware verification
- Support certification by assessing the applicability of existing evidence
- Work with the Test Software department to ensure test software supports design proving and production testing
- Updating production test documentation at unit level incorporating changes resulting from new CCA integration and liaising with Production Test department
Requirements
- Degree level qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to modify the message to pitch at all levels of the organisation
- A thorough and methodical approach to work with high quality and accuracy
- The ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- The ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, such as schematic diagrams, engineering reports, and test reports
- Any knowledge of Test Software environments, shell scripting, and Linux is useful
- Extensive experience in performing work of the kind described in this job description
- Experience in system integration, firmware, software, electronics H/W and certification
- UK sole National SC Cleared
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Stevenage minimum 3 days per week
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Filton as required to support the Software team integration
