About the role

  • Produce technical drawings to BS 8888 standards
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) appropriately
  • Translate an existing concept-level design into manufacture-ready drawings
  • Create detailed part and assembly drawings, including BOMs where required
  • Prepare and release drawings into SolidWorks PDM
  • Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and suitable for suppliers/manufacturing

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified Engineer in a Mechanical Engineering subject
  • Strong experience with SolidWorks
  • Good working knowledge of BS 8888 and modern drawing practices
  • Solid understanding of GD&T
  • Experience preparing designs for manufacture
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
