About the role
- Produce Safety Case reports and associated documentation
- Create Hazard Logs and associated reports
- Assess supplier safety compliance, in accordance with legislative and contractual safety requirements
- Conduct safety analysis activity reports such as Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Provide safety SME input to life-cycle management core engineering processes and design reviews (e.g. PDR and CDR)
Requirements
- Background with ordnance qualification and certification
- Experience in setting certification strategies and plans for UK product acquisition
- Experience with regulators, particularly DOSR
- Understanding of legislative compliance, AMC and AAMC tailoring
- Experience with MIL-STD 882E, DSA02 OME, MoD standard Def Stan 00-56 and navigating international and UK legislation
- Experience in the development of Safety Case reports, assessing Safety Case validity and safety assurance including ALARP assessments and providing Safety Argument for Design Authority Approval
- Comprehensive experience of hazard and risk management processes
- Risk Management, including Hazard Logs, Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis
- Safety Analysis; e.g. Fault Tree Analysis, Bow Tie Analysis
- Assessing supplier safety compliance, in accordance with legislative and contractual safety requirements
- Experience within the marine environment is desirable.
