About the role

  • Provide Nuclear and Radiological knowledge and support to the business
  • Provide technical advice on Nuclear Safety Assessment processes and policy
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and the terms of the Site Licence
  • Deliver Nuclear Safety Cases and Licencing Plans
  • Develop and implement Nuclear Safety processes and standards
  • Get involved in the development of a new Safety Case

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Scientific discipline and/or have relevant knowledge and experience
  • A background in nuclear/radiological safety is highly beneficial
  • Registered as a Chartered Engineer (or be working towards chartered status)
  • Good interpersonal skills and be competent in verbal and written communication
  • Specific experience in Deterministic Safety Analysis to support Safety Case development
  • Ability to operate and interface effectively with Senior Managers and internal stakeholders
  • Must satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements, which may require SC clearance
