New Business Clerk

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the sales team, supporting them in processing client applications.
- Manage cases between carriers and agents to ensure all underwriting requirements are fulfilled.
- Meticulously review client applications to confirm that they are complete for the underwriting process.
- Propose improvements to processes and technology.
- Perform additional duties related to the New Business Department as assigned by the immediate manager.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in office administration is required
- Experience in the insurance industry is a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Capable of managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities effectively
- Effective problem-solving and investigative skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, proactive, with a keen sense of ownership and initiative
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Approachable and professional in delivering suboptimal information via in-person, phone, and email interactions.
- Strong computer skills with a capacity to learn new systems
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a positive, proactive attitude
- Positive demeanor with an openness to constructive feedback
- Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.
