About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in the research, design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software applications
Design, develop and support RESTful APIs and system integration
Conduct technical analysis and design of application modules and databases
Ensure developed modules comply with architecture standards, coding standards and quality requirements
Participate in client meetings, requirements gathering, solution reviews and technical workshops
Support project delivery and system integration
Provide support to system users
Report to the Head of Software Development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years of experience in software development, system design and application support
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Angular
Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL
Knowledge or experience in C# and .NET technologies
Hands-on experience designing, developing, documenting, testing and supporting RESTful APIs using XML/JSON
Familiarity with AWS services
Experience with CodeIgniter and MVC architecture
Good understanding of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts
Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Checkmarx
Understanding of security principles and best practices, including OWASP Top Ten
Experience writing unit and integration tests using xUnit or similar
Strong testing, debugging and troubleshooting skills
Stakeholder management skills and ability to engage clients, business users and technical teams
