About the role
- Design, implement, and evolve a petabyte-scale AWS data platform
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Scala, Spark, and cloud-native services
- Serve as a technical lead, mentoring engineers and promoting best practices
- Contribute to architectural and design decisions
- Plan and deliver complex technical initiatives
- Ensure operational readiness by following coding standards
- Explore and adopt modern technologies
Requirements
- Experience in software and data engineering on large-scale data platforms
- Experience with Scala and Apache Spark
- Advanced knowledge of the AWS data ecosystem (Glue, S3, Athena)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Skills in query optimization and storage patterns
- Expertise in cloud ecosystems (AWS required; Azure/GCP are a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced English and availability to travel to São Carlos, SP when required.
